We provide this store as a service to our members. Our desire is to help you spend your money wisely. We are here to help you, not to sell books. You will find listed only those items which we recommend. However, just because we think something is valuable and helpful, does not mean that we agree with it 100%.

There are also many free Bible study resources available online.

Bibles

Which Bible to use is a matter of considerable difference of opinion among Christians. Each translation has its strong points and its weak points. The important thing is that you read the Bible, understand it, and apply it.

Bible Software

A great and free Bible software package is e-Sword. For many people, this will be more than adequate for their needs. It is truly a great program, and you can't beat free.

Other free programs are: The Sword Project and Online Bible. (additional Online Bible site).

Bible Explorer is also now free, but you will have to pay for many of the add-on modules.

Another one that offers a free starter version is Theophilus. However, many of their modules will cost extra.

PC Study Bible is a good one for many people. I have found it very helpful. They have products ranging from inexpensive to mid-range, and you can always start with one product and then upgrade without losing much of your initial investment.

For scholars, and those desiring to do detailed work with the original languages, most agree there are only two contenders: BibleWorks 7, which specializes only in language study, and Logos, which does language study plus is a base for a whole library of electronic products. It is quite expensive, but is considered by many to be the best available. They have the widest selection of modules that you can purchase. Discount Christian seems to have the best prices we know of on Bible study software.

Study Helps

Bible study software is fast causing many paper-based study aids obsolete -- unless you prefer to study without a computer and waste time. However, all of us may not always have our computer programs readily available, so you may desire to have some basic reference books in your library.
